If you're in Liverpool 14-15 June 2014, pay a visit to the Pier Head and call into the BBC tent and say hello i'll be there talking about the Lusitania as part of the WWI At Home during the Mersey River Festival.
RMS Lusitania was a British ocean liner, holder of the Blue Riband and briefly the world's biggest ship. She was launched by the Cunard Line in 1906, at a time of fierce competition for the North Atlantic trade. In 1915 she was torpedoed and sunk by a German U-boat, causing the deaths of 1,198 passengers and crew.
