After months of preparation the commemorative exhibiton about the sinking of the Lusitania in 1915 is now open for public viewing at the Maritime Museum in Liverpool. This new exhibition marks the centenary year of the sinking of the Lusitania. Highlighting new research about the people involved in the Lusitania story, the display also considers the role of Liverpool’s liners in the First World War. Beatles Liverpool and More are proud to have contributed to the research behind the exhibition and we are involved in several other events to commemorate the sinking of the Titanic including a month long exhibition in St George's Hall, Liverpool. As part of our research we have compiled a list of the Liverpool crew members and passengers aboard the ship. To see a shortened version of the list visit the Liverpool and the Lusitania story on the website. A full version will be available to see in the latest Beatles Liverpool and More publication about the Lusitania that will be released in May. |
We were excited to be invited to the private viewing of the exhibition at the Maritime Museum and it is definitely worth a visit!
