The World Famous Grand National can be traced back to the 19th Century.
In February 1839, Lottery became the first winner of the Grand Liverpool Steeplechase, the race that would become known as the Grand National.
Horses had to jump a stone wall, cross a stretch of ploughed land and finish over two hurdles.
If you are visiting Liverpool this weekend we thought we would let you know about some of the incredible exhibitions that are currently on at some of the City's museums and galleries. Here are Beatles Liverpool and More's Top Five, in no particular order of course.
1. The British Invasion: How 1960s Beat Groups Conquered America
We are excited to introduce to you our brand new blogsite, we really hope you like it! Along with the new site we also have a new Pinterest page and a Youtube channel, take a look.
There are so many exciting projects happening at Beatles Liverpool and More in 2015 so in order to share everything with you and keep you up to date to what we are working on we decided to change the way we work, and as such we have developed the website into a blogsite, I just hope it can keep up with us and all we are doing!
As always there will be stories added to the Beatles and Liverpool sections by Kevin, Beatles, Liverpool and More's head researcher. So if you are interested in either or both, continue to check in to see what he is working on. The More section will let you know the events that we are involved in that you can come along to aswell and of course Latest News will let you know what we are up to at the moment. The main difference is that you can now 'like' and 'share' our posts on Social Media!
If you enjoy the stories and there is something we can help you with as a potential client of Beatles Liverpool and More, whether it be research, feature writing or a story that you want publishing, check out our Services section for how we can help you, and please get in touch.
If you are interested in advertising on the site, have a look at our Media Pack and of course, you can not visit the site without having a look at what is available in the Shop section.
Please bare with us as we move content across from our old site.
Then get in touch!
