About Kevin

Picture
Kevin Roach was born in Liverpool in the district of Walton in 1963, the house where he was born (Beaconsfield Road) has long gone, but it was opposite Walton Hospital.
He is married with three children and amongst his interests and hobbies are The Beatles.

Growing up in Liverpool in the 60s it was just the bread and butter of daily life to hear the Beatles music around the city.

In 2007, Kevin started a project researching the family history of Paul and Mike McCartney, which soon mushroomed, after speaking with Paul on this project,

Paul gave his blessing, and together with the support of Mike, Kevin completed his first book titled "The McCartneys In The Town Where They Were Born"

Kevin has been credited in many publications, he has also appeared in many T.V. and Radio programmes as a researcher into the history of Liverpool and The Beatles. In 2009 on the release of his book he was the subject of the world's media with his discovery of the earliest known creative work of Paul McCartney. Which was an essay Paul wrote when he was 10 years old.

Unknown to the young Paul his essay was entered into the under 11 section, and to his surprise, he won his catagory.

Many acclaimed Beatle/McCartney researchers have covered this event but they have never seen the actual essay, until Kevin, while researching his own book discovered the essay, and the archive newscuttings.

On the release of this news, the media attention was intense all wanting to get a copy of the essay, months before the press release Kevin had contacted Paul with the news of the discovery to which Paul replied "I thought that was distroyed years ago" and it was Paul who supported Kevin with the publication of his essay in Kevin's book.
