Today marks 57 years to the day that a young Paul McCartney met a young John Lennon.
Paul met John for the first time at a Garden Fete on St Peter's Church field on Saturday 6th July 1957. He was there to see John's skiffle group, 'The Quarrymen'.

as a result The Quarry Men got a new lineup! And it wasn't long before Paul's schoolfriend George Harrison joined the group and they were performing around Liverpool.
